What's new in MathType 6.5c for Windows?

MathType 6.5c for Windows includes the following list of improvements;

  • Added support for Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2
  • The Mathematica translator was modified to improve the handling of symbols, such as the differential 'd' in an integral, which are represented by special characters within Mathematica. Also, a problem with translation of inline equations was corrected.
  • Improved TeX input translation of "fenced" expressions (grouped by parentheses, brackets, etc.). Typically this would occur with a parenthesized integrand or summation argument, and MathType would include only the open parenthesis in the integrand or argument.
  • Updates were made in the help content for both Maple and Mathematica.
  • Corrected a problem where equations that were edited in place became corrupt when the Word document was left open after several minutes.
  • Improvements were made in the handling of comments in the Texvc (LaTeX delimiters) translator.
  • Improvements were made to TeX Toggle for equations containing paragraph breaks, and to correct a problem on systems using a decimal separator other than ".".
  • Choosing GIF in the Save As dialog failed to remain chosen between uses of the dialog. This has been fixed.
  • Corrected a problem where errors occurred during installation.

If you're running MathType 6.5, 6.5a, or 6.5b this is a free update. Download MathType 6.5c now.
